  La historia cuenta que los primeros viñedos en el Perú fueron plantados en el valle de ICA en 1,540, es decir durante la época colonial, como sabemos a la llegada de los españoles al territorio del Perú trajeron su cultura pero también su religión y ante la necesidad de usar el vino durante las misas católicas, ya que traerlos desde España era muy costoso y demoraba mucho tiempo, se introdujo plantones de uva en algunos valles de la costa Peruana sobre todo en este fértil valle de Ica.
