Many foreigners probably don't know that Peru has a landscape that can only be seen in some Middle Eastern countries, but it's real, yes, such a place exists, and it's called Huacachina, considered to this day the only oasis in the Americas.

This oasis of emerald-green sulfurous waters is located just 5 kilometers from the city of Ica, south of Lima, on the Peruvian coast. It is an outcrop of underground water measuring 100 meters long, 80 meters wide, and 10 meters deep. This oasis is surrounded by an immense desert, enormous dunes, seawalls, and a range of tourist hotels overlooking this beautiful and exotic body of water.

Huacachina has a varied fauna such as: ducks, sparrows, mucas and many migratory birds that stay for a while in this Oasis, but also a flora where palm trees and Huarangos stand out mainly, in addition to its extraordinary scenic beauty it also has a warm climate all year round with a temperature of 30° C so that it can be visited at any time of the year.

Throughout the history of Huacachina in the 1960s, it became a fashionable spa for many visitors since its waters were attributed with a certain healing power considering the composition of its sulfurous and saline waters, this meant that many illustrious visitors from Peru and other foreigners used to often visit this famous Oasis.

In 2017, the British media TELEGRAPH included this Oasis as one of the 21 most impressive destinations in the world to visit given its unparalleled characteristics in this part of the world, among the activities that can be done in Huacachina are walks along the banks of the Oasis along its cozy boardwalk.

The practice of sandboarding is another of the activities that can be done in the dunes that surround this beautiful paradise, for paragliding lovers there is also the possibility of flying and having an incredible view from the air but without a doubt the most popular practice is the rides in TUBULARES these cars perfectly adapted to the desert sands defy gravity going up and down the dunes at full speed causing a great impression on tourists.
