    Considered one of the most beautiful trekking routes in the world, the HUAYHUASH mountain range is an imposing and fascinating place with landscapes of extraordinary beauty that seem otherworldly. After the CORDILLERA BLANCA, it is the second highest mountain range in Peru and one of the highest in the world, with seven snow-capped peaks over 6,000 meters above sea level. The name of this mountain range derives from a weasel that lives in the Andes.             If we want to go on our own, the first thing we have to do is travel from Lima to Huaraz (402 kilometers). Es después de la CORDILLERA BLANCA la segunda cordillera mas alta del Perú y una de las mas altas del mundo con 7 picos nevados de mas de 6,000 metros de altitud, el nombre de esta cadena de montaña deriva de una comadreja que habita en los andes.         Si queremos ir por cuenta propia lo primero que tenemos que hacer es viajar de Lima a Huaraz (402 kilómetros)  lo aconsejable es permanecer al menos un día en esta ciudad ubicada a 3,100 metros de altitud para aclimatarnos a la altitud, ya que durante el trekking a Huayhuash permaneceremos durante 6 a 8 días a mas de 4,000 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
