CHICAMA, THE LONGEST WAVE IN THE WORLD
This popular beach has become a "surfer's paradise" for surfers from all over the world who come in search of its unique waves and excellent cuisine. This famous destination for surfers around the world is located 640 kilometers from Lima in northern Peru. The easiest way to get to Chicama is to first arrive in the city of Trujillo and then continue to the province of Ascope in the district of Malabrigo, 39 kilometers further north of Trujillo, following the Pan-American Highway.
As for its waves, it is known that they are the longest waves in the world, maintaining their consistency for more than 2 kilograms in length, which creates an unparalleled experience for all surf lovers. Although you can surf on this beach all year round, the best time to find the best waves is between April and October. Chicama attracts surfers every day, from amateurs to the best exponents of world surfing.
This beach is so famous that its waves have deserved to be baptized by the southern world as "the chicameras waves" for being considered "the most perfect and longest left waves in the world" with a height of 2 to 3 meters high and in order to protect it the government enacted a decree considering this beach as THE FIRST WAVE PROTECTED BY THE PERUVIAN STATE and one of the first in the world. These waves were discovered by the American surfer CHUCK SHIPMAN in 1965 when he was flying in his private plane and saw these enormous breaks and decided to go to that place to check it out personally and upon arrival he was amazed by the beauty of the place.
Besides being a peaceful surfing resort, Chicama is also a gastronomic destination where its fish and seafood dishes stand out. Among the most popular fish caught on this beach are: horse mackerel, hake, dogfish, stingray, sole, crabs, etc., which are a delight.

I liked the report, it's an interesting subject and the beaches are paradisiacal. Congratulations!
