When everyone thought that in Peru there were only 2 colorful mountains of singular beauty like the popular VINCUNCA and the no less beautiful and famous PALCOYO, now another mountain has been discovered for tourism, perhaps more imposing and where for now tourists can reach the same mountain and climb it from where they can take some spectacular photos of the Andean landscape, this incredible mountain is called PALLAY PUNCHU. This beautiful mountain is located in the Layo district of the province of Cañas, 189 kilometers south of Cusco (approximately 4.30 hours). This archaeological site was discovered in 1937 by the Peruvian archaeologist Julio C. Tello and is located in the province of CASMA . It is characterized by its incredible facade with representations of warriors and human sacrifices. The first thing we need to do is travel to the city of Casma , located 375 kilometers north of Lima . Once in Casma, follow a marked route that will lead us 5 kilometers further through the desert to this mysterious temple, located very close to the Sechin River and the Pan-American Highway North .
